Peer Review is a huge part of what we learned and explored in Professor Cripps English class. My annotating and informal responding approaches made me realize the improvement within not only my work but others. Using evidence from my annotation that I commented on others papers, I realized not only improvement that they could improve upon but also where I could learn from their mistakes. We used letters to represent certain words; I- Ideas, E- Evidence, O- Organization, L- Local Comment, and +- suggestion for change. I often times didn’t comment these letters in the comments section but I found myself pointing out these points in my peers papers. I think that because there were abbreviations for these words, it made us recognize these topics and give feedback on them. I am a good example of this because like I said before, I didn’t necessarily write down these letters in the comments section but I definitely pointed out where there could be improvement. Coding is a great way to get your point across without totally describing it. There were times where I knew something needed improvement but I just didn’t know how to exactly say what I wanted to so I used these letters and symbols.
