Recursive Process

Recursive Process

The recursive process for me to review my papers was to read them through multiple times and figure out where I can edit and add new details. I also shared my paper with my sister, who never really knew what I was talking back, to see what made sense as someone random reading it. I think that by having my group members read it and tell me what works and what doesn’t is helpful, but it also helps to have an outsider read it. I changed my introduction in almost every essay I wrote by either adding a whole new introduction or revised it a little. I added more evidence and found myself moving a lot of my ideas around and adding new paragraphs to tie my ideas together. An issue I found while revising and editing my ideas, was deciding what information to include. I often times had trouble organizing and deciding where to include certain ideas. At the beginning of the semester, I was looking for grammar and sentence errors but as I progressed throughout the semester, I noticed that I was focusing more on the actual ideas in the papers. Grammar is something important when reading and writing, but I think the ideas in the paper mean more.
